For their last game of the season, the varsity field hockey team shut out Pembroke Hill 1-0 with a goal by Lindsay Bennett. The jv team was down 1-0 at half time when lightning ended the game.
On October 7th the jv team beat Pembroke Hill's jv-2 team by a score of 5-0. Katie McLiney scored two goals with assists from Meghan Angold and Kelly Gude. Jessica Diaz score three goals with an assist from Anna Reintjes on the first goal and from Hannah Griffith on the third. Kelly Gude also scored an unassisted goal. The next games will be at home for Senior Night on Thursday, October 16th, against Pembroke Hill with jv starting at 4:15 and varsity at 5:20.
On Friday at Edwardsville High School, varsity lost 3-2 with goals by Kali Hodes and Maggie Naylor, with Lindsay Bennett assisting Maggie. Junior varsity tied 2-2 with goals by Jessica Diaz and Anna Reintjes.
Saturday morning varsity lost 6-0 to St. Joseph's Academy, and junior varsity lost by the same score. On Saturday afternoon Whitfield School beat varsity 6-3 with a goal by Kali Hodes assisted by Grace Angrisano, and goals by Josie Vignatelli and Lindsay Bennett. Junior varsity played to a 1-1 tie with a goal by Kylie Krizek
On September 23 the jv field hockey team beat Pembroke jv-2 by a score of 2-0. Goals were scored by Katie McLiney and Tess Hoag, with Kelly Gude assisting Tess.
The jv team played Nerinx Hall (St. Louis) to a 0-0 tie on Saturday at Pembroke Hill. The next jv game is Tuesday at Pembroke Hall against their jv-2 team. Both varsity and jv will travel to the St. Louis area this weekend to play Edwardsville (IL) High School on Friday, and play both St. Joseph's Academy and Whitfield School on Saturday. | |||||
