Fall sports start Aug. 4, 2014
While in Milwaukee, the soccer team tied Divine Savior Holy Angel on Friday in double OT. On Saturday, they defeated Prairie 3-0.
The Storm basketball team defeated Grandview in the MSHSAA Class 4 District 14 Championship, 54-39. They will play Clinton in the sectional game on Wednesday at Blue Springs South High School at 6:00.
The basketball team beat Grain Valley, 52-36, to advance to the MSHSAA Class 4 District 14 Championship.
The basketball defeated Center, 50-30, in the first round of the MSHSAA District 14 tournament. They will meet Grain Valley on Tuesday in the semi finals at 7:00 at Raytown South HS.
Congratulations to the basketball team on a tremendous performance last night in the Irish Cup game at St. Teresa's. The Storm retained the cup by beating St. Teresa's 64-47.
Congratulations to the swimmers and divers on a great performance at the MSHSAA State Meet over the weekend placing 20th. Meghan Kearney placed 11th in the 200 IM and 14th in the 100 butterfly. Margaret Brandmeyer placed 9th in the diving while Rebecca Jacobs was 12th. The 200 medley placed 27th and the 200 freestyle relay placed 22nd. Both relays were made up of Meghan, Hannah Spoolstra, Clare McGannon and Paige Jones.

The Sion Swim and Dive team finished 5th of 21 teams at the Springfield Invitational on Saturday. Divers Margaret Brandmeyer, Kaitlin Wagner and Rebecca Jacobs finished 2nd,4th and 5th and Kaitlin qualified for state. Rebecca qualified for state a week earlier in the KC Classic. Swimmer Meghan Kearney also finished 3rd in each of her events. Congrats Swim & Dive!
Senior Kristen Murphy led the Storm to a victory over the Stars of St. Teresa's, on Senior Night, with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
The Storm came back from an 11 point halftime deficit to beat St. Teresa's in the Blue Valley North Tournament, 44-40.
Congratulations to tennis player Michaela Henne on earning All-Metro honors from the Kansas City Star.
The Storm basketball team was back in action last night. Camille Keane hit 6 threes as they beat St. James 56-54.

Come out and support our seniors that are signing National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. Lexie Johnson - West Point Millitary Academy, Megan Neisius - Marquette University and Kristine Sullivan - Wagner College. The ceremony will start at 3:45 in the gym.
Congratulations to the cross country team on their 3rd place finish in the MSHSAA Class 3 State Championship. The Storm was led by Julie Steilen's 8th place finish. Also earning All-State Honors were: Meghan Kearney 15th, Lauren Blando 17th and Kathleen Gansner 22nd. Molly McCarthy was 27th, Ellie Stingley was 64th and Ally Koehler was 110th.

The volleyball team's season came to an end in the semi finals of the MSHSAA Class 4 District 13 Tournament, they lost to Ray-Pec.
The field hockey tied 0-0 with Pembroke Hill in their last game of the season.
Congratulations to Michaela Henne, Margo Gerke and Janie King on a great showing at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Tennis Tournament. Michaela lost a tough match in the round of 16, while the doubles team of Margo and Janie made it to the semi finals before losing to the eventual state champions.
Congratulations to the golf team on their 3rd place finish in the MSHSAA Class 2 State Championship.
The tennis team defeated Liberty, 5-0, in sectionals. They will play in the state quarter finals at 1:00 on Saturday at Clayview Country Club in Liberty.
